1. Background
Pétanque Pays Rignacois is a local club run by dedicated volunteers, based in Rignac, in the Aveyron region of southern France. Active and well established in village life, the club had a presence on Facebook and Instagram but no website of its own.
2. The challenge
Everything ran through social media, with no lasting home online. What was missing was a single place to:
- Post news and competition results
- Show the calendar of upcoming tournaments
- Share a photo gallery
- Give members a space of their own
- Be visible beyond Facebook and Instagram
3. The solution
Forgeum Studio designed and built a modern, fast website that is simple to update. The stack: Next.js, Tailwind CSS and Supabase, which delivers performance, responsive layouts by default, and editorial independence for the volunteers.
The site includes a news section, a competition calendar, a photo gallery and a members area. Delivered in 3 weeks, from first sketch to launch.
4. The outcome
PageSpeed Insights test (Lighthouse 13.4.1) run on August 12, 2026, on the home page: 100/100 for Performance on both mobile (Moto G Power emulation, slow 4G) and desktop, 96 for Accessibility on mobile and 95 on desktop, 100 for Best Practices and 100 for SEO on both. LCP measured at 1.5 s on mobile and 0.5 s on desktop, with a CLS of 0.003 on mobile and 0 on desktop. These remain lab measurements: the site's traffic is still too recent to feed a real-user report (CrUX).
The club now has a genuine web presence of its own, independent of social media algorithms. Visibility has grown, and members and prospective members alike have a clear, professional place to start. The club is delighted with the result.
5. Testimonial
The club had no website at all, only Instagram and Facebook. Today we have far more visibility, we keep the competitions up to date, and members can sign up directly online. Sébastien responded quickly to every change we asked for and respected our colors, our logos and our partners perfectly. The site brought us visibility and made running our tournaments and events much simpler.
